DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio – A 19-year-old man was killed in a crash in northwest Delaware County just after midnight Saturday.

In accordance with Ohio State Highway Patroltroopers responded to the scene of a crash on State Route 257, north of Donovan Road, at 12:08 a.m.

Bobby Brown, 19, of Waldo, Ohio, was driving north on State Route 257 in a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon when he went off the right side of the road and struck a tree, police said.

Paramedics pronounced Brown dead at the scene.

OSHP said Brown was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and that alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Ciotat Township Fire Department, Radnor Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
