COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four people were injured in a single-car crash near South Franklinton early Saturday morning, according to Columbus Police Dept.

The crash happened around 2:50 a.m. when a Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling eastbound on Harmon Avenue from West Mound Street. Police say for unknown reasons the vehicle lost control and crashed into a concrete wall on the north side of Harmon Avenue.

The car reportedly overturned several times and landed on its side, ejecting two of the five passengers.

The driver was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. The other three were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital and described as “stable”. As a result of the accident, one person was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
