TALEDA, Ohio – A girl was shot dead Friday night in northern Toledo, Toledo Police confirmed to our WTOL 11 crew at the scene.

At least five shots were fired at the corner of N. Erie and Cleveland streets around 8 p.m. A girl, whom police called a “minor”, was injured in the shooting.

At the moment, the identity of the victim, age and degree of her injuries are unknown.

Police did not say whether anyone was in custody and what could have caused the shooting. An investigation is underway into the incident.
