Columbus police said 30-year-old Erich Barbie was arrested by SWAT officers on Wednesday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man accused of killing a woman and injuring another in a shooting last week in Franklinton is now in custody.

The Columbus Police Dept Erich Barbi, 30, was arrested by special forces on Wednesday.

Barbee is charged with murder and aggravated assault for the March 16 shooting on Rogers Avenue.

When police arrived, they found a woman on the roof of the home with multiple gunshot wounds. She told police there was another woman in the home who had been shot.

The woman inside, identified by police as Marissa Zaultz, 44, was pronounced dead.

The injured woman was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, Barbee allegedly shot both women and then fled the scene before police arrived.
