The shooting happened on Saturday before 5 p.m.

Oregon, Ohio – A man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being shot at a local gun store/range, according to Oregon State Police Chief Brandon Begin.

The shooting took place a little before 5 p.m. in the village of Armory of the towers near the Toledo-Oregon border off Woodville Road.

Police cordoned off the store and parking lot while investigating the incident.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are unclear at this time, as is the condition and identity of the victim.

Begin says the shooting is being treated as an isolated incident and Oregon State Police are still investigating.

In addition to the ranges, Towers Armory sells guns and ammunition and offers shooting instruction.
