Toledo police say a missing 15-year-old girl has been found dead in an alley on Page Street.

On Tuesday, Toledo police released the victim’s name and provided additional information about the circumstances surrounding her death. This story has been updated to reflect new information.

A missing 15-year-old girl was found dead in an alley in the 1300 block of Page Street in north Toledo on Monday afternoon, Toledo police said.

According to a police report, TPD received information that a girl had been shot, which led them to the area of ​​Spring Street and Stickney Avenue, north of Page Street.

The deceased’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

Toledo police on Tuesday identified the victim as Deasia Green. Police described Green as a common runaway, but said her family was particularly concerned when she was reported missing Thursday.

The family worked with detectives, which led them to find Green’s body in an alley. Green was a freshman at Start High School.
