DUBLIN, Ohio — The first Wendy’s restaurant with a new global design will open in New Albany in 2023

Wendy’s announced that “Global Next Gen” is designed to enhance the customer, crew and digital experience.

“Global Next Gen improves the customer experience across all ordering channels and streamlines our team, creating better profitability for franchisees,” said Wendy’s President and CEO Todd Penegor.

Starting this fall, Wendy’s said the new brick-and-mortar restaurants will also be updated with sleek and modern designs and next-generation technology to improve convenience, speed and accuracy.

Global Next Gen will feature a delivery reception window, a dedicated mobile parking and ordering area, a new galley-style kitchen design, next-generation technology and optimized infrastructure, the company said.
