TALEDA, Ohio – A seven-month-old girl Desire Hughes has died from her injuries after an unknown car shot at the car in which she and her father were.
The officers were first sent to Toledo Hospital because of the man being shot.
At the time of the officers’ arrival, Desire was in the ambulance, she was being treated for at least one gunshot wound.
According to Toledo police, Desire was in a car driven by her father, Jeremiah Hughes. Then the passengers of the unknown cars shot at the car in which Jeremiah and Jazir were.
It took place on Hillcrest Avenue and Jackman Road in western Toledo.
My father, Jeremiah, was shot. He was treated and then released.
