The Cincinnati Rollergirls return to the rink this spring and their first game of the season will be held at Xavier University’s Cintas Center.
CRG has announced the schedule for the season, with games to be played from April to June. The opening game at Cintas Center is Saturday, April 8 at 6:00 p.m. The A team, the Black Sheep, will face the Louisville Roller Derby in a one-game event, and the team will also be celebrating Pride Night.
CRG’s remaining games will be played at Sports Plus in Ewendale, all scheduled for 6pm:
- April 22, Saturday
- May 13, Saturday
- June 10, Saturday
CRG says they are also working on double headers for the remaining home games.
“We are excited to announce our 2023 season to our fans throughout the Cincinnati area,” Cincinnati Rollergirls owner Lauren Bishop said in a press release. “We’ve been training hard since January. The energy is great and the teamwork is impressive. The recruits from our recent open trials have already proven to be valuable additions.”
Roller derby team returned to competitive skating for the first time since 2019 last August after a pandemic hiatus. CRG participated in two home games in 2022, one at Cintas Center and the other on Sports Plus.
