COLUMBUS, Ohio — A local pumpkin patch in Pickerington was vandalized Wednesday night, police said.

Sam’s Pumpkin Patch owner Terry Dunlap got in touch Pickerington Police Department after he found several pumpkins on the ground destroyed Thursday morning when he returned to the property on Hill Road South.

According to Dunlap, the vandal caused about $370 worth of damage.

After smashing the pumpkins, the suspect reportedly fled through the trees, heading south toward Sycamore Creek.

“If anyone hears anything about what happened here last night, we would appreciate a tip,” Dunlap wrote on Facebook. “A reward may be available if this tip leads to whoever did it. If someone wants to come forward and make restitution before they get caught, that might be a wise idea.”
