COLUMBUS, Ohio – Giant Eagle has announced the recall of branded GetGo apples with peanut butter sold at GetGo stations in several states, including Ohio, due to potential salmonella contamination.

Peanut Butter, which is included in the reclaimed GetGo apples from Peanut Butter, is included in the Jif Peanut Butter Recall.

The product was sold before May 13 and can be identified by UPC 30034 93770 6 and includes the best shelf life until May 29, 2022.

Those who purchased the affected product should throw it away or return GetGo for a refund.

The recalled product was sold in about 215 transactions, according to the grocery chain.

There were no reports of illness, the company said.
