Many officers are based in the Clough Street area. Police say there is no active threat to the public.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – A large police presence in Bowling Green Monday morning after reports of a shooting nearby.
Many Bowling Green Police vehicles responded to the area of Ivywood Apartments on Clough Street, near the El Zarape restaurant located on E. Wooster St., where police are reporting a shooting. Police have not confirmed they are investigating, but they are north of the restaurant.
Bowling Green Police say there is no active threat to the public.
According to El Zarape’s Facebook page, they are closed until the end of Monday. All employees are safe.
Shortly before 12:30, special forces vehicles were seen at the scene. Officers could be heard yelling for someone to come out of the apartment.
As of 12:40 p.m., the suspect’s apartment was surrounded, according to the BiH police.
