Software company Gainsight, cloud storage company Box and mental health services provider Telemynd are among the best places to work in the US, according to those who work in the US.

Employees at these companies say they like their coworkers, like how managers give them more flexible schedules and value their pay, according to a ranking released Tuesday by Glassdoor.

In an era marked by conflict between workers and employers — including walkouts, unionization, more than 300 strikes and demands for higher wages amid record inflation — the ratings show that some employers are at least hitting the mark, Glassdoor said. .

“The past year has brought extreme ups and downs for job seekers and employees alike, but despite an increasingly uncertain job market, Glassdoor’s data shows that there are still companies that are very focused on creating great employee experiences CEO Christian Sutherland-Wong said in a statement.

Glassdoor’s findings are based on reviews employees anonymously submitted to the website between October 2021 and October 2022. The job review website asked employees to rate their employer based on CEO, workplace diversity, work-life balance life, compensation and other indicators. Employees were also asked if they would recommend a friend to work where they are.

In Glassdoor reviews, Gainsight employees praised the company’s efforts to increase diversity among its staff. “This is the most supportive, understanding and family-friendly company I’ve ever worked for,” said the employee from Missouri.

More than 35 other companies — including Lego, Spotify and Toast — also joined the list for the first time, Glassdoor said. Both Bain & Company and Google, which have been on Glassdoor’s list for the past 15 years, both boast strong diversity and workplace culture as company traits that make them great places to work. In-N-Out Burger, the only fast-food employer on the top 10 list, received high marks for flexible hours.

The job market has been on a tear for the past 18 months as companies have shaken up the pandemic pauses and welcomed workers to the office. US employers added 6.7 million jobs in 2021 and an average of 375,000 jobs each month last year more than makes up for the damage caused by the pandemic.

But as jobs returned, thousands of workers began demanding higher pay, remote work roles and better benefits. Increasingly emboldened workers have also led a wave of new unionization, led by workers at Amazon, Apple and Starbucks.
