The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health was held at the White House on September 28. This is the first such event in more than 50 years. Kroger was the only grocer to be invited to participate in critical conversations about how:

• Improve access and availability of food products;

• Integration of nutrition and health;

• Empower all consumers to make and have access to healthy choices; and

• Expansion of research in the field of nutrition and food security.

Kroger President and CEO Rodney McMullen attended the conference and shared how Kroger is already making significant strides in the aforementioned pillars. Members of the Kroger Health team hosted health and nutrition experts for a roundtable discussion on collaboration opportunities and a conference party in DC.
