The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.

LOGAN, Ohio – Students in the Logan-Hocking School District will be out of class Tuesday as authorities investigate an ongoing threat.

District announced on his website that all schools will be closed following a threat posted on social media Monday night. No additional information about the threat was available.

Logan Christian School announced it was also closed out of an abundance of caution.

The Logan Police Department is investigating the threat. The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.

On May 5, the sheriff’s office posted on social media that it was aware of a threat circulating on Snapchat. The screenshot of the message details threats of a possible school shooting.

During the investigation, it was found that the message came from Florida. The sheriff’s office has not said if anyone has been arrested or charged in the incident.
