Mark and Debra Theis, parents of missing journalist Austin Theis, on “The Takeout” – 13.05.2022

Journalist Austin Bennett Theis went missing in 2012 during a report on the conflict in Syria. After he appeared in a video with the hostages later that year, Debra’s parents and Mark Theis continued to press the U.S. government to help bring him home. Theis’s parents are talking to Major Gareth of CBS News about their decade of waiting, hoping and upholding their son.
