Press release from Stephanie Malloy, Ohio Northwestern University: The Ohio State Beauty Academy is excited to announce its 2023 Spring Student Talent Show on Thursday, March 23, with the theme “A Night in Seussville.” The hairstyles will be paired with creative makeup, nail art and costume designs that match the various Dr. Seuss works. The exhibition will be held at the UNOH Events Center with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. The event starts at 18:30.

There are over 40 students participating in the Seussville Night event. Models in the show will walk the runway showcasing their hair, makeup, nail art and costume designs inspired by the many books and movies written and inspired by Dr. Seuss. The students have been preparing their look for the past few months and will be putting the finishing touches on the day of the show.

Students will be judged by a jury of experts from the beauty industry. Each student will be judged on the following criteria: creativity and originality, degree of complexity and technical skill, and presentation/neatness. Students will compete in six categories: Hair Color Design, Hair Styling, Makeup Application, Nail Art, Costume Design, Peer Judging and Audience Choice. There will be first through third place winners in each category. Winners will receive a certificate, medal and OSBA bragging rights! Each participant and model will receive a gift for participating.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Come out and immerse yourself in the whimsical and colorful world of Dr. Seuss with the “A Night in Seussville” Student Talent Showcase by Ohio State Beauty Academy students!
