COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Police Department is investigating after a man entered a store at Easton city center Friday afternoon with a gunshot wound.

The shooting victim, described by police as a man, walked into the Diamond Cellar at 3960 New Bond Street and said he had been shot during a robbery.

Police later said the shooting appeared to be the result of domestic violence between a boyfriend and girlfriend.

The shooting victim was taken to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. Since then, his condition has improved.

Police say a man has been detained in connection with the incident and will face charges.

There was no additional information. It is still unclear where the shooting took place.
