WASHINGTON — As the new year approaches, the Powerball jackpot grows.

The jackpot has grown to $340 million after no one hit Saturday’s jackpot. $178.2 million lump sum payout in Monday night’s Powerball drawing.

Monday’s winning numbers were 18-43-48-60-69 Powerball 14 and Power Play 3.

Powerball isn’t the only exciting lottery this week. The Mega Millions jackpot soared to more than $1 billion in Tuesday’s drawing and hasn’t seen a winner in more than two months.
