TOLEDO, Ohio – Several incidents caused traffic delays in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan Tuesday morning, including several crashes.
A semi truck caught fire on I-475 at US 24 in Maumee shortly before 6 a.m., causing bumper-to-bumper traffic to stop as crews battled the blaze. The driver was taken to the hospital, their condition is not yet known. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but traffic in the area continues to be slow.
In Toledo, an accident on Westbound I-475 at Corey Road is also causing delays. Transport crews are blocking this area.
A crash in Monroe County at I-75 Southbound and Luna Pier Road has crews closing the left and center lanes and the left shoulder.
