COLUMBUS, Ohio – Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a gas station in Licking County after a hoax call, according to Licking the county sheriff’s office.

Deputies said staff at the Pilot Travel Center on Lancaster Road, near Interstate 70, told them they heard an “active shooter” call on their radio frequency.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to the scene, including the sheriff’s office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The gas station was swept, nothing was found.

The sheriff’s office said the building was never locked down and no arrests were made.
