COLUMBUS, Ohio – One person was shot and killed early Sunday morning at Short North, according to the Columbus Police Department. It is the latest incident in a worrying trend of gun violence in the popular area centered on North High Street, which includes many shops, restaurants and bars.

Police told 10TV News the shooting happened in the 900 block of North High just after 3 a.m. Sunday. Police said officers in the area heard the incident and responded.

Authorities confirmed that there were no other injuries in the shooting, but did not have specific information about any arrests.

It follows from this filming in the Short North last weekend as a result of which 10 people were injured. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation continues to investigate this chaotic incident that ended with officers firing their weapons.
