Survivor is holding an open casting call at Put in the Bay on June 15th

PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — Can you become the second Ohioan in more than 40 seasons to win the reality series “Survivor”?

Survivor accepts two open castings in Put-in-Bay from noon to 4:00 p.m. on June 15. One call is at The Boardwalk at 341 Bayview Avenue and the other is at The Keys just down the street at 227 Bayview Avenue.

Superfans, first-timers, and everyone in between are welcome to attend. You only need to bring one thing with you: your ID.

Chris Dougherty, a highway builder from South Vienna, Ohio, in Clark County, is the only Ohioan to win the title of “Lone Survivor” and the $1 million prize in the show’s 44 seasons.

Dougherty bested 17 other contestants on the show’s ninth season, which was filmed in Vanuatu, a country in the South Pacific east of Australia.

The show’s 44th season is coming to a close, with the penultimate episode airing Wednesday at 8:00 PM on CBS and the finale airing on May 24.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid US or Canadian passport.

Filming dates for the seasons are tentative, according to the Survivor FAQ page.

“We plan to shoot Survivor 47 from early May 2024 to early July 2024. The filming and travel time is about 46 days,” the website says.
