Suspect charged in Bellevue, Ohio stabbing Monday

BELLEVUE, Ohio – A man was arrested and charged with two felonies in connection with a stabbing in northern Ohio on Monday.

Bellevue Police responded to a residence on East Center Street in Bellevue just after noon after receiving a call of a possible stabbing. The victim, who has not been named, was found in the bedroom of the upstairs flat “with an apparent stab wound to the neck”.

The emergency medical team treated the victim at the scene and took him to the hospital.

The suspect, Jamie Lee Trimmer, fled the scene and was identified by witnesses, police said. He was later taken into custody in Ontario, Ohio, about an hour south of Bellevue.
