MSU police and public safety say the suspect is on foot.
EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing police are responding to shots fired at Michigan State University campus Monday evening. Officials say there are several injuries.
Police say the suspect is described as a short man wearing a mask, possibly black.
This incident occurred around 8:18 pm in Berkey Hall on the East Lansing campus.
The police are on the scene, the police and public safety of MSU say the suspect is on foot.
Everyone is asked to take shelter immediately and stay away from windows.
MSU issued an alert with the inscription: Run, hide, fight.
“To run means to evacuate away from danger if you can safely do so, to hide means to anchor yourself in place, and to fight means to protect yourself when there is no other option,” officials said.
The police also responded to another incident at the IM East fitness center, which has now been resolved.
