It’s part of a grant program to raise awareness and ensure equal access to diaper changing tables across the city.
10TV is the first introduced you to Matt Loffey, a father who created a podcast with Sean Ditty, a child and family therapist, to become an advocate — or as they say, an advocate — for more resources in men’s and gender-neutral bathrooms.
“The fact that this ordinance is being passed publicly to celebrate this is because it’s such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the partnership of public and private businesses working together to support our small businesses,” Loffey said.
“Whether you’re a same-sex couple or a same-sex couple, or it’s often two friends getting together and he’s watching his son, we need to provide a platform and a place for people to just dress up their child,” Ditty said. .
As part of this grant program, more than 130 businesses, organizations, and recreation and park facilities will install changing stations.
The changing stations will be purchased through Foundations Worldwide of Medina, Ohio, and will be distributed June 14 at Columbus Public Health’s first-ever Family Resource Fair for Parents. There will also be car seat lessons and the distribution of gun boxes.
