The City of Toledo Lawn Mower Rebate Program can put $100 in your pocket when you switch from a gas mower to an electric one.
TOLEDO, Ohio — As lawn mowing season ramps up and electric lawnmower prices continue to drop, you may be thinking about finally making changes favorable to the earth before you perform seasonal duties.
With that in mind, you may be interested in the city of Toledo Discount program for lawn mowers.
The city began implementing the program in 2022, but there’s still time to get help switching from fossil-fueled to electric mowers.
You must submit your paperwork by August 1st to receive the gift card discount.
The discount is offered to those who purchase a corded or cordless electric lawnmower and sign a statement stating that they have scrapped their old gas lawnmower.
A limited number of discounts are available.

Rebates can be mailed or picked up by appointment at the Toledo Environmental Protection Agency at 348 S. Erie St.
