COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two people were injured and two homes were damaged after the driver of a stolen Tesla went off the road in east Columbus Saturday afternoon, according to Columbus Police Dept.

The incident happened just after 12:15 pm in the 2800 block of Arrowsmith Drive when an unknown driver in a stolen Tesla left the roadway, striking several objects. While leaving the road, the car hit two houses and two people, whom police have identified as a man and a woman.

The victim was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive, police said. Doctors treated the injured man on the spot.

The driver and passengers of the Tesla fled the scene after the collision, police said.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
