The durable Apple Watch Ultra is expensive and not easy to repair: here’s why

Apple launched the rugged Apple Watch Ultra at its iPhone 14 event earlier this month. Most people were surprised by the capabilities of the watch, which is indeed worth a hefty price, but now people will also be wary of its repairability after new developments this week.

iFixit recently praised Apple for making the iPhone 14 easy to repair, scoring 7 out of 10 thanks to redesigned internals. But you can’t say the same about the Watch Ultra, and we can’t blame Apple for that situation.

In this case, the Watch Ultra with a flat screen is more of a problem, as removing the display will likely break the device. Any damage to the Apple Watch Ultra will cost you more than $100 (roughly Rs. 8,100) if the user does not have an AppleCare+ plan.
