COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man has pleaded guilty to robbery in connection with a shooting that left a man dead in north Columbus more than a year ago.
The shooting happened on the morning of December 3, 2021, in the 1800 block. Oak Grove Court.
When police arrived, they found Anthony Dickerson sitting in the vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the shooting was an attempted robbery.
Eric Shaw, 21, pleaded guilty to armed robbery in the case. He was sentenced to six to seven and a half years in prison. He will be eligible for post-release supervision in about six years.
In September 2022, Deshajuan Carpenter pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter with a weapon. Platnytskyi, who was 17 years old at the time of the shooting, was sentenced to 10 to 13 and a half years in prison. He will be eligible for supervised release after 10 years.
