Morgan County, Ohio, Ohio – On Monday, a Morgan County man pleaded not guilty to several counts of child pornography.

Robert Maxwell, 52, was arrested on April 6 after the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and detectives from the Southeast Ohio Trafficking Task Force issued a search warrant for East Bon Road in McConnellsville, the sheriff’s office said.

Maxwell was charged on five counts of indecency involving a juvenile, which is a second-degree crime. He was also charged with one count of indulging in obscenity involving a minor or a disabled person in materials or performance with a naked subject, which is also a second-degree crime.

The sheriff’s office said detectives also found conversations in which Maxwell was talking to another man to buy sex with a 10-year-old girl. The task force and the FBI are continuing their investigation, and additional charges may be filed later.

Maxwell is on $ 100,000 bail.
