LICKING COUNTY, Ohio – A man accused of shooting two people at a Licking County home was arrested Tuesday in Knox County.

Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorpe said deputies were dispatched to a home in the 7700 block of White Chell Road around 5 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

Deputies found two victims who were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It’s not yet known if the shooting happened inside or outside the home, but Thorpe said bullet holes were found in several cars.

Deputies and detectives identified 27-year-old Devon Jones as the suspect.

Thorpe said the Heath Police Department spotted a vehicle Jones was driving with a Flock security camera. The Newark Police Department also spotted Jones and a vehicle with another Flock camera traveling on U.S. Route 13. Flock cameras can read license plates and alert authorities.

Jones was eventually pulled over on Owl Creek Church Road in Knox County, where he was arrested.

Thorpe said Jones is related to the victims, but their exact relationship was not known, according to Thorpe.

Details about what led to the shooting were not available. The sheriff is investigating the shooting.
