The number of students in the US continues to decline

The number of students enrolled in college in the U.S. continues to decline, according to the National Student Clearinghouse. The group found that there were just over 1 million fewer undergraduate students in 2022 than in 2019, and a nearly 8% drop in transfers from community colleges to four-year colleges over the past year.
