Reported figures for the Brady show deal will be the highest paid television sports analyst ever.

TAMPA, FL – Quarterback Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady has agreed to become the NFL’s chief analyst at FOX Sports when he finishes the game, Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch said Tuesday.

The deal is set to become the largest in history for sports television analysts, according to a new report by Andrew Marshand of the New York Post, which reports that Brady will earn $ 37.5 million a year for a 10-year deal of $ 375 million. .

For reference, CBS is paying top NFL analyst Tony Roma $ 18 million, and new ESPN lead analyst Troy Aikman is set to earn $ 18 million, according to numerous reports.

“We are pleased to announce that immediately after his playing career, 7-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady will join us at Fox Sports as chief analyst,” Murdoch said in a statement. “During this long-term deal, Tom will not only call in our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but will also serve as our ambassador, especially with regard to clients and promotional initiatives.”

Brady tweeted that he was excited, but he had “a lot of unfinished business on the field” from the “Books”.

Former Dallas Cowboys defender Troy Aikman previously served as a leading NFL analyst for Fox along with game broadcaster Joe Buck. Aikman and Buck have left Fox Sports this offseason on multi-year contracts with ESPN.

Speaker Kevin Burkhardt, whom Murdoch mentioned in his statement about Brady, will act as a major player in NFL coverage of Fox Sports, but they have not yet named his partner in the booth for next season. Brady is expected to take on this role in 2023 until things on the field are completed.

The 44-year-old Brady originally left the NFL after last season in February, and just 40 days later decided to return to the Tampa Bay Bacchanaries.

Many expect this to be the last season for Brady with the intention of heading out at sunset at the end of it, possibly with his eighth career Super Cup title. In the end, the defender has won the Super Cup every year since 2015 (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021). After the Bucks were withdrawn from the Rams playoffs in January, he will be looking for another title.
