HILLIARD, Ohio – The Franklin County DUI Task Force is setting up two sobriety checkpoints on Friday night in Hilliard.

Checkpoints will be located at Cemetery Road west of Water Street from 8pm to 10pm and at Billiard Rome Road on Ryclan Drive from 10.30pm to 12.30pm.

The Hilliard Police Department is one of 26 Franklin County law enforcement agencies that are part of the task force.

“We are often asked why we are announcing these events. It is not only the law, but we believe it can be information that encourages residents to make smart, life-saving decisions,” Hilliard police wrote on Facebook.

The DUI Task Force encourages residents who plan to drink alcohol, have a designated driver and never drink or drive.
