When will the new Avatar experience open at Disneyland?

The report came Wednesday afternoon while Iger was speaking during the company’s earnings call.

Here’s Iger’s full statement on the new Avatar Disneyland Experience:

“James Cameron Avatar: The Path of Water, which was easily the most successful film of the quarter, has become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time worldwide, earning nearly $2.2 billion at the box office to date. The worldwide popularity of this film will lead to more opportunities for fans to interact with the franchise, as they did with Walt Disney World’s Pandora: The World of Avatar, as well as in theaters worldwide and on Disney+, where the first film performed very well. Today I’m excited to announce that we’re bringing an exciting Avatar experience at Disneyland. We will share more details on this very soon.”

The news quickly made the rounds on social media as Disney fans speculated about what this new experience might include.

Avatar: Pandora’s World has been open at Animal Kingdom Park in Florida since May 2017. There are two attractions here: the flyover and the Na’vi River Cruise.
