Japanese technology giant Panasonic on Thursday unveiled two new professional 4K camcorders, the Panasonic HC-X2 and HC-X20, to the growing community of videography professionals in India.
The new camcorders feature a built-in 20x optical zoom, 24.5mm wide-angle for UHD and FHD, high-precision 4K autofocus with new face detection, and higher accuracy with a 1.0-type (1.0-inch) sensor.

The HC-X2 is priced at Rs 2,69,990 and the HC-X20 is priced at Rs 2,29,990. Both models can be purchased at all Panasonic stores in the country.
“The new models support the highest quality video production with next-generation technologies that fit seamlessly into the workflows of professional videographers,” said Hardeep Sarna, Business Business Group Head, Imaging, Panasonic Life Solutions, India.
In addition to a wide range of recording modes such as Super Slow Motion (100/120 fps) and Variable Frame Rate (2 fps to 60 fps), the camcorders allow for internal video recording of 4:2:2 10- bit 4K 30p/25p and HEVC recording for more efficient storage.
In addition, they offer a variety of settings, a good weight balance, and highly efficient 4K 60p video encoding.
The new camcorders are equipped with advanced features and technologies to meet the diverse needs of professional video production, including simultaneous display on the LCD monitor and EVF, triple manual calls, 2-channel XLR audio inputs, ND filter, two SD card slots, unlimited shooting time, built-in Wi-Fi and more, according to the company.
It also provides Ethernet connectivity, simultaneous SDI/HDMI output, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and 13-stop V-log recording for 4K HDR content, as well as live HD streaming via a variety of streaming protocols.
