The Xiaomi 12T could be the successor to the Xiaomi 12 series

Xiaomi is bringing its new flagship devices to the global market next week and it is expected to come with high-end features.

Xiaomi is ready to introduce its new flagship series called Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. Unlike the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which debuted in China, the Xiaomi 12T models will be launched in Germany, suggesting that this could be the global flagship model from Xiaomi in the coming months. The Xiaomi 12T series will launch on October 4 and the event will start at 5:30 AM IST in India.

According to the announced features of the Xiaomi 12T series, it is believed that the company will offer this device with a 200-megapixel sensor on the back, which could be the same camera sensor as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

Leica is again expected to be involved in camera development on the new phones. If the camera quality of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra was a teaser, expect the new alleged 200MP primary camera to deliver high-quality images. Leica’s shooters on the 12S Ultra are quite good, and the overall look and feel of the device is also flagship.

Xiaomi hasn’t launched the 12S Ultra in other markets, but Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, has already confirmed that the next iteration of the Ultra will be available in Xiaomi’s global markets. Could the Xiaomi 12T Pro be Xiaomi’s Ultra outside of China? We’ll learn more about that next week.

The new flagship should come with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and at least 12GB of RAM. It could also up the ante with faster charging support for the new high-end device.

Xiaomi has played smart with its premium devices over the years and has entered this segment with the Mi 11 Ultra in various markets. Before that, Xiaomi mainly focused on the mid-range segment of its smartphones, gradually building up consumers’ appetite for something better.
