COLUMBUS, Ohio – A second man has been charged in connection with a A short midnight battle which led to the death of a man, was arrested.

Christian Foster, 32, is currently in custody, according to Franklin County Jail records.

Foster and 28-year-old Dwayne Cummings are accused of killing 37-year-old Gregory Coleman Jr.

An attorney representing Coleman’s family said Foster had another court date scheduled for Tuesday and appeared with his attorney knowing he would be arrested.

The fight happened in the early hours of September 5 outside a North High Street bar.

A video released by the Columbus Police Department shows the dreadlocked suspect wearing a black vest preparing to fight Coleman. The second suspect then punched Coleman, knocking him onto the road.

The man in the black vest then jumped on Coleman, who was motionless, and continued to beat him.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Coleman unresponsive, partially lying on the street and sidewalk.

Coleman died at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center 12 days after the incident. His death was the 98th homicide in the city of Columbus this year.

Cummings was arrested on September 21. He pleaded not guilty during a court hearing on Monday.
