The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two people involved in a fatal shooting at an east side bar.

COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus Police Dept is asking for the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in a fatal shooting at an Eastside club early Sunday morning.

Officers arrived at the Queen of Hearts Pub, located at 5512 East Livingston Avenue near Interstate 270, around 4:30 a.m.

Police said a woman and a 17-year-old girl were shot at the club. The teenager was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition.

The woman, identified as Shamirah Rhodes, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:47 a.m., police said. Rhodes’ death was the 105th homicide in Columbus this year.

A 42-year-old woman showed up at the hospital and said she had also been shot at the bar, according to police. Her condition is assessed as stable.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the fight took place during a meeting in a bar. Police said someone pulled out a gun and fired, hitting all three victims.

Detectives are investigating what caused the fight. At least one person was arrested at the scene, but police have not said if charges have been filed.

On Monday, police released photos of two people they are trying to identify in connection with the shooting.

This fatal shooting was one of the multiple shots that happened overnight and late Saturday in the Columbus area.
