5G plans are expected to be slightly more expensive than 4G plans.

India’s 5G launch is expected on October 1, when Prime Minister Modi may announce the availability of the network service in the country.

Launch of 5G India with just a few weeks to go, we can now confirm that Terminal 3 of Delhi International Airport will be the first 5G-ready airport in India. Delhi Airport also said that 5G services will be rolled out across the country from October 1, which has been the expected schedule for the past few weeks.

Indian Mobile Congress 2022 is also scheduled for October 1. It has been speculated that Prime Minister Modi may announce the availability of 5G services in the country at the event.

Without giving details on which carrier’s 5G network will be available in the terminal, the airport authority said that anyone with a 5G-enabled phone can access faster network services in parts of Terminal 3 to start the process.

After holding 5G spectrum auctions and then allocating funds to telecom companies, the Indian government is working hard to ensure rapid rollout of 5G services in the country.

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said last month that the government expects 5G services to be rolled out in the country by October 12 and the Center will ensure that prices are affordable for consumers.

Vaishnau said the installation is underway and telecom operations are busy rolling out 5G services smoothly. The government will ensure that 5G plans remain available to the public, the minister said.

The 5G services will be rolled out in phases, with 13 cities likely to get 5G internet services in the first phase. Companies like Airtel have already confirmed that its 4G users do not need a new SIM card to use 5G services. But everyone should make sure that their phone can support Indian 5G network bands from different carriers.
