Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani announced on India Mobile Congress 2022 in New Delhi that Reliance Jio will launch 5G services in all corners of the country by the end of 2023.

“I want to reiterate Jio’s commitment to bring 5G to every city, every taluk and every technology in our country by December 2023. Most of Jio’s 5G is developed in India and hence bears the seal of Atmanirbhar Bharat,” Ambani said.

“India may have started a bit late, but I want to assure you all that we will finish first by rolling out 5G services across the length and breadth of India. And as an industry, we guarantee that we will have the highest quality and most affordable prices than anyone in the world,” he added.

Reliance Jio has announced the launch of Jio 5G services by Diwali 2022 in the metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Jio’s ambitious 5G rollout plan will be the fastest in the world.

Jio 5G claims to be the largest and most advanced 5G network in the world. Unlike other operators, Jio’s 5G network will be autonomous and not dependent on the 4G network. The triple advantage of 5G’s autonomous architecture, the largest and best combination of spectrum and carrier aggregation technology means that Jio 5G will be able to offer an unprecedented combination of coverage, capacity, quality and affordability. With autonomous 5G, Jio can provide new and powerful services such as low latency, massive machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, edge computing and network slicing, as well as meta-universe.

Reliance Jio is said to be partnering with Google to develop ultra-affordable 5G smartphones along with Microsoft for the Azure ecosystem. It turned to Intel for cloud-scale data centers and the 5G edge. Jio has also partnered with Qualcomm to develop 5G solutions for India that can be used in the rest of the world.
