Columbus Crew fans eager to celebrate Independence Day at Lower.com Field will need to adjust their schedules slightly.

The July 3rd match against Nashville SC will now kick off at 6:30 p.m., an hour earlier than originally scheduled at 7:30 p.m. This change aims to accommodate the central Ohio community gathering in Downtown Columbus for holiday festivities, including Red, White & BOOM!, the region’s largest fireworks display.

With the earlier kick-off, the final whistle is expected around 9 p.m., just in time for the fireworks display starting at 10 p.m. over the Scioto River. Exclusive live coverage of the fireworks will be provided by NBC4 on-air, on nbc4i.com, and the NBC4 app.

Meanwhile, the Black & Gold will hit the road to face Orlando City on Saturday, aiming to extend their MLS winning streak to three games before heading to Mexico for the CONCACAF Champions Cup final against Pachuca on June 1.

Following this away stint, the Crew will have an extended break from Lower.com Field until their return home for a match against Sporting Kansas City on June 22.
