Google unveiled the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at its Made By Google event, along with a number of new devices. The Pixel 7 series is powered by the new Tensor G2 SoC, manufactured using a 4nm process.

The Pixel 7 has a 50-megapixel dual rear camera, while the Pixel 7 Pro is equipped with a triple camera setup that also includes a 48-megapixel telephoto lens. Both phones are equipped with a 10.8-megapixel selfie camera and have an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

One of the key highlights of the launch is the fact that Google announced a number of new camera features for the Pixel 7 series. Both Pixel 7 series devices now support the new ‘Cinematic Blur’ feature, which provides a dramatic blur effect when recording video, much like a cinematic Apple mode.

The higher-end Pixel 7 Pro will also feature a ‘Macro Focus’ feature that allows users to click photos of subjects up to 3cm away with HDR+ photo quality. But the best feature the photography department gets is Google Photos’ Photo Blur feature, which uses machine learning to improve old or blurry pictures.

The Google Pixel 7 comes with a 6.32-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the new octa-core Tensor G2 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

In the camera department, the Google Pixel 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a secondary 12MP sensor that comes with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The Google Pixel 7 has a 10.8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.

For connectivity, the Google Pixel 7 options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port.

The Google Pixel 7 has been reduced in size, and as a result, Google has also reduced the battery capacity on the new device. The Pixel 7 packs a 4,355mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and 21W wireless charging. It also supports reverse wireless charging.

The Pixel 7 will run on a clean or stock version of Android 13. Users get an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as facial recognition support for biometric authentication.

Google Pixel 7 price starts at Rs. 59,999. The smartphone will be sold in Snow, Obsidian and Lemongrass colors. Offers from banks and cashback offers will reduce the price by Rs 10,000 to Rs 49,999.

The top-end Google Pixel 7 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch Quad-HD LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 7 Pro is powered by the same octa-core Tensor G2 SoC that we see in the non-Pro Pixel 7, but instead of the Pixel 7’s 8GB of RAM, the Pixel 7 Pro gets 12GB of RAM. For storage, we get up to 256GB of the same storage module.

In terms of cameras, the Google Pixel 7 Pro gets a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP telephoto camera with support for 30x super-resolution zoom and 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera . The Google Pixel 7 Pro also has a 10.8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The Pixel 7 Pro will feature a new ‘Macro Focus’ feature that allows users to take photos of subjects as close as 3cm.

In terms of connectivity, the Google Pixel 7 Pro gets the same specs as the Pixel 7. The Google Pixel 7 Pro gets the same battery as the Pixel 6, a 5,000mAh battery that shares the same charging specs as the Pixel 7 – 30 W by wires. fast charging and 21W wireless charging with reverse wireless charging support.
